David studied economics at Sheffield and was later awarded a Master of Philosophy in Public Finance by York University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.
Outside work David takes a keen interest in local community activities and is Vice Chairman of his Parish Council in Wittersham where he lives with his wife Miriam and two sons who are currently at university. He is also active in local junior football.
In his current role at NHS Kent and Medway David is joint Chair of the Audit Committee. He is also Chair of the Audit Committee for NHS Surrey.
