Hazel has led the organisational development and HR agenda in east Kent since 2007, developing requisite organisation design and development to meet the World Class Commissioning challenge and the need to cut management cost. With an insatiable curiosity for the commissioning and health business, she has willingly taken on responsibility for maternity commissioning since 2007 and more recently managing primary care contracting in East Kent.
Hazel’s successful career throughout the NHS started at South West Thames Regional Health Authority as a graduate trainee in 1990 and has worked in mental health, learning disability, acute, community and primary care trusts in various roles.
She is a parent governor of Smeeth Community Primary School where her two young children are pupils.
