Partnerships are key to the way NHS Medway works.

Medway Local Strategic Partnership

This is the most important partnership in the area. It is made up of Medway Council, NHS Medway, Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue, higher and further education, businesses, voluntary organisations, and others.

Together, we have set priorities for Medway, which are:

Working in partnership
Partnerships are key to the way NHS Medway works.
  • working towards a safe and strong Medway;

  • promoting healthier communities and the needs of older people;

  • supporting children, young people and families;

  • regeneration, including housing, the environment and culture;

  • developing the local economy, transport and skills

Working with our NHS partners

We work with patients, carers, Medway Local Involvement Network, Medway Council, Medway NHS Foundation Trust, Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, Medway Community Healthcare, GPs, pharmacists, dentists, optometrists, South East Coast Ambulance NHS Trust, Will Adams Treatment Centre, the Sunlight Development Trust, voluntary organisations and others to plan, deliver and improve services, so that people get the right care when they need it.

Public Health

We have a joint public health directorate with Medway Council which drives work to improve the health of local people.
