Get sorted and stay safe this summer

A Better Medway’s health improvement team will be touring Medway this summer to encourage people to respect and protect themselves.

The team will be touring its Get Sorted campaign, which gives relationship and sex education advice to young people. Visitors can get free condoms, Chlamydia testing kits and information and support about drug and alcohol use and stop smoking services. Local agencies and organisations will also be attending, including the Medway Youth Trust, KCA, Kent Fire and Rescue and Gillingham Youth for Christ.

The team, which is provided by NHS Kent and Medway and Medway Council, will visit more than 15 locations throughout July and August in the URBIE roaming consultation bus.

Dr Alison Barnett, Medway’s Director of Public Health, said: “I urge young people to visit a Get Sorted roadshow this summer to make use of the advice available to help stay safe and healthy.

“This campaign has been running for three years and brings together many local services, taking them directly to young people, rather than them having to find us.”
