I am writing to inform you that, at the GP Monthly Educational Session to be held next Wednesday 25 January, the second part of the session after the tea break will be on Medway Commissioning Group business. However, this will only be successful with your involvement and input - this will allow us to put in place many of the ideas that were developed at the last meeting and GP/practice involvement is crucial to this stage of our progress.
New guidance has been issued on the configuration, structure and governance of Clinical Commissioning Groups and on how practices should engage with the work of the CCGs.
We will be covering this and seeking your views and input into implementing this in Medway. Therefore, it is important that as many of you as possible, and at least one representative from each practice is present for this part of the meeting so that we can reach a consensus on the various options to be discussed.
